What is Warwick 2.0?
An exciting journey towards a new church experience! Let’s build our excitement towards a new image for our place of worship, and a renewed outreach into the community.
How can you help?
If there is an item that ends up on the list of improvements planned that you feel you can personally help move along, please let Tim Walden know! We will help you get it going and share the news of its completion! You can also help by giving ideas of what needs improvement, the list can grow and grow and grow!
What is our endgame?
The overall goal of Warwick 2.0 is to raise $6,000. $1000 per month now until July. One of the things we are aiming to fund is a building improvement plan for improving the overall access to the church (i.e Handicap accessible restrooms and fellowship hall).

February 2021 News - Coming...
The doors have been reinterpreted as panels hanging on the wall.
An email from a 30-something member of the Newport News community:
“I am so happy to see the doors back in front of your building! As someone who
grew up in the UCC and is a member of an ONA church in Ohio, it's so good to see
a church making an intentional, public commitment to the LGBTQ+ community. I
was sad to see them gone from the front lawn for a little while but was pleasantly
surprised, and proud, to see them on my commute today.
Keep up the great work serving the local Newport News community!”
The rainbow doors witness to our community that Warwick UCC welcomes and celebrates not only the LGBTQ+ but all people. The rainbow door project was begun by our consultant for the worship grant, Rev. Dr. Jonathan Chapman, pastor of Westfield UCC.
